I have been reading Robert Pritkin's book. I must say I think there are a lot of things that make sense about this book. Some of it I haven't been able to verfiy completely..like the liver and muscles storing 1500 calories of carbohydrates. On a large scale though I think everything he is saying makes sense "No one gets fat eating carrots". I like the fact that this really isn't a diet, its just a focus on low fat, unprocessed foods. It seems to make it easier to tailor to my life. I mean..so I don't have to give up chips, just go for low fat chips. It seems to be helping me make more concious decisions about food, and slowly weeding out the processed junk.
I had breakfast down pat..and I love it. 1 cup oatmeal soaked in 1 cup fat free milk over night with about 1/2 cup blueberries on top. Its fab, fills me up for hours.
However..I severly struggle with snacking. Fat Free yogurt is easy for me to grab, and bananas. But..then I feel like all my snacks are high sugar content. Not very filling. I am not sure pretzels are that great, but they have been my go to thing when I need something crispy. I still want something a little healthier, but still easy, with less sugar.
